Edgefield Recovery Center, in Chenyville, LA is seeking a full time Licensed Addiction Counselor (LMHP).   LAC to provide treatment to cooccurring clients with substance use and mental health issues. Caseload of up to 10 clients. Provide assessments, treatment planning, individual and group sessions. Attend staff meetings, document client activities in EHR. Correspond with referral sources. Must have good communication and writing skills. Weekday and some rotating weekend mornings.

At the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office, Diversion Counselors/Case Managers work with people who have been arrested for 1st Offense DWI, possession of drugs, theft, and other various charges. It is an abstinence-based program. The people we work with are referred to education groups, counseling and/or treatment after being assessed for which is most appropriate. We usually meet with clients monthly. It involves some counseling but it’s mostly case management. 35 hours a week, M-F. The position is located at the JPDA Office in Gretna.
